About me

I am 30 years old and live in Budapest, Hungary. I make a living from internet marketing. My latest passion is programming and web development.

I have tried Forex trading when I was 20 and I failed. It took a lot of time and discipline that I didn’t have. So now, 10 years later I am giving it another shot.

Why trade Forex? For me it’s Freedom! You can be anywhere, in any life situation, but as long as you have a laptop and an internet connection, you can make a living. Supposedly a very good one.

Before starting this blog, I have already started trading. My results: I have lost 30% of my deposit. That’s right, a -10% return every month. But hey, if I can make -10%, I can make +10% as well. I just have to be on the other side of the trades.

If you are curious how I turn out, check back. I will try to update this blog regularly.

What is my strategy

I am not sure yet. I went through Hector DeVille’s courses. Most of them at least. But they didn’t really work out in practice. I think it was a discipline issue as well.

Then I have been watching Youtube videos from Petefaders. They sound really good, but again, I was not able to bring it to fruition in practice.

So, who knows? I don’t know yet.

As I have said, I have tried this game a while ago. In addition, I have also tried:

  • Trading stocks – decided to hold long-term just before the 2008 crisis. Sold close to the bottom of the market.
  • Investing in mutual funds – after fees, the not so high returns turn into close to nothing.
  • Just recently I have invested in an apartment in Budapest’s Soho. No mortgage, just cash. I am pretty confident it’s a good investment. It’s in the part of Budapest that will rent even if the real estate market goes bust.
